Cyprus Mail – NEWSPAPER
The Cyprus Mail, now in its 72nd year, is the longest established daily newspaper in Cyprus. The best-selling English language paper, together with its weekly publication the Sunday Mail, they are the main source of information for
non-Greek speakers.
The online edition of the paper (Cyprus-mail.com) has significantly increased the readership as it is the island’s most-visited English language web-site, attracting younger readers who, generally, do not buy the hard copy, as well as overseas visitors.
Both publications have an ABC1 readership, consisting of business people and professionals, members of the diplomatic community and foreigners (in the 35 -65 age group), the majority of whom are Britons living on the island. This accounts for 80 per cent of the Cyprus Mail’s readership and 70% of the Sunday Mail’s, the remainder made up of Cypriots. Forty per cent of the visitorsof the web-site are from overseas.
With a readership of high net-worth individuals makes it a valued target audience for companies wanting to advertise services and products. The Sunday Mail also carries regular, specially-themed supplements as a way of informing readers about specific services on offer.
